The [U.S. Healthcare Compliance Certification Program](https://law.shu.edu/compliance/health-united-states/index.html) (HCCP) is a four-day program offered in-person in May and virtually in October. The Program teaches the overall fundamentals of healthcare compliance and attracts professionals from across the country. Seton Hall Law School faculty and industry leaders provide a comprehensive overview of state, federal, and international law governing prescription drugs and medical devices. Attendees examine health care-related laws and regulations alongside other compliance, ethics and integrity officers, legal counsel, health care consultants, and regulatory and medical affairs professionals. Throughout the Program, participants engage in group problem-solving activities and analyze the covered laws and regulations through case studies. As a JD or MLS student there are numerous benefits to participating in the HCCP. JD and MLS students can earn course credit towards graduation. JD credit can be applied towards requirements of the Healthcare Law concentration. After successful completion of the Program, like other registrants, students receive a certificate. During the Program, students have the opportunity to interact, network, and learn from industry professionals. Timothy Wagner ‘25 said, “My three years at Seton Hall Law have informed me that the school's greatest strength is its people. The HCCP is no different. It stands apart for its quality of instruction, the esteemed cadre of instructors it attracts, and the professional experience of its working students. The course provides ample instruction for networking and picking some of the top brains in the compliance field. Dean Alves, Professor Elberg, and Paralegal Canaval should be commended for organizing a top-flight program.” Nicole Ng ‘25 opined, “Completing the HCCP was a great experience and opportunity to delve deep into the healthcare compliance field. This was an especially great opportunity after taking Professor Elberg’s Healthcare Fraud and Compliance Class. I completed the Program virtually in October, and thoroughly appreciated the opportunity to attend the in-person networking event at school this May. I highly recommend all students interested in healthcare take this opportunity.” Abbas Chaudhry ’25 commented, “The HCCP was incredibly informative.
